Research summary 2003

We study prominent quantum phenomena in condensed matter in a wide temperature range including micro Kelvin region.

  1. We are constructing an ultra-low temperature cryostat and studying such subjects as

  3. Mixture of 2D charge system and atomic hydrogen on the He surface.
  4. Influence of a boundary on the order parameter of p-wave superfluid probed by ions trapped underneath a He surface.
  5. Control and detection of a single electron on He film and its application to quantum computing
  6. Electric transport of 2D electrons on a thin helium film.
  7. Electronic properties of the mesoscopic system.
  8. Quantum transport of atomic contact controlled by a mechanical-break-junction technique
  9. Transport properties of a single molecule.
  10. Qquantum properties of carbon nanotubes.
