Introduction

This symposium is devoted to enhance the collaborative scientific activities between RIKEN and Kazan Federal University (KFU). So far, the collaboration has been carried out between Low Temperature Physics Laboratory of RIKEN ASI and Institute of Physic, KFU. Both parties agree to enhance the collaboration. In order to survay possible augmentation of research topics and fields, the Symposium is organized.

Since KFU has a strong tradition in spin resonances, "Spins" is thought to be a good keyword to cover most of the interest, and the Symposium scope is set to cover all phenomena related to spins. However, this does not imply any exclusion of other phenomena not directly associated with spins. Eventually, the scope becomes much wider than what was initially thought.

This Symposium is expected to catalyze new research collaborations between RIKEN and KFU.
